J.C., a senior at Kennesaw State University studying Information Systems, knows firsthand the challenges of aging out of foster care. Entering the system at 14, he faced disappointment and uncertainty, including being told he would never find a family. But despite the hardships, J.C. never stopped striving for a better future.

Through determination and the support of two foster families who showed him unconditional love, J.C. was able to pursue his education. However, financial challenges remained a constant burden—until he discovered the Fostering Success Act. Skeptical at first, he quickly realized the impact this program could have. “I was like, this has to be a scam. Nobody is this responsive, this nice,” he recalls. 

The Fostering Success Act didn’t just provide financial relief—it opened doors. J.C. secured an internship at Jackson Healthcare, where he’s gaining real-world experience and mentorship.
