Working Together during COVID-19

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, March 17th, 2020

The Development Authority is carefully monitoring reliable news sources to understand how COVID-19 is impacting our region. During this time, we remain committed to delivering responsive and professional site selection services, in addition to resources that support our local industry.

In a press conference on Sunday, March 15, Georgia’s Gov. Kemp urged calm in his update on COVID-19 and outlined several sources for accurate and reliable information including:

We will be using our social media channels to share resources for business owners and creative ideas that we are seeing implemented to support our local business. For example, we encourage our small businesses to learn about assistance through the SBA: SBA to Provide Disaster Assistance Loans for Small Businesses Impacted by Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Development Authority will remain open during this time; however, starting Monday, March 16, at noon, our team will be implementing a telework policy. For a list of our team’s contact information visit https://georgiasgoldenopportunity.com/contact-us/

Today and always, our team is grateful to be in a strong community that is dedicated to working together to make the Golden Isles an exceptional place in Georgia to live, work, and visit by strengthening our communities and enhancing the quality of life.
