COVID Rates up Slightly in Clarke County, Other Athens Area Counties

COVID-19 numbers edged up slightly in Clarke and some neighboring counties over the past week.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health’s daily COVID-19 update, Clarke County’s case rate increased to 222 per 100,000 population. A week earlier it was at 200. The two-week percentage of COVID-19 tests that are positive also increased, from 4.0 percent to 4.7 percent.
