In the early 1920's, insurance salesman and retired farmer G.J. Mecherle started a tiny insurance company he called State Farm. One-hundred years later, State Farm has not only endured, but has also been a leader in the insurance market for decades.

Celebrating State Farm’s 100-year anniversary this month, Camden County State Farm agents Jane Brown, Maggie Gooch and Kevin Lang recently treated their neighbors with the Camden County Chamber of Commerce to a sunset cruise.   The agents, deeply entrenched in their communities, work with other Chamber members to help grow the region and make it a safer, stronger area to live, work and play.

“At State Farm, we are committed to helping build up our communities,” says Agent Gooch on behalf of the group. “For us, it's not enough to simply say we are good neighbors, we embrace the responsibility to make this community better by being a part of a solution.  We are honored to help Camden County thrive.”

“Our network in the Camden County Chamber of Commerce is proud to have members like Jane Brown, Maggie Gooch, and Kevin Lang with State Farm,” says Dakota Jones with the Camden County Chamber. “They stand for everything we align ourselves with: unity and teamwork within our small business network, philanthropy, and celebrating where we do business.”
