The Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation concluded its annual ARTrageous Bras fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 3, at the historic Ritz Theatre in downtown Brunswick. This year’s event, which included 46 amazing bra entries, raised $19,450 for the Health System’s cancer care programs and Mammograms in Motion.
Designed by Health System team members, local businesses and community members, the ARTrageous Bras were displayed at the Brunswick and Camden campuses throughout October. During that time, the Foundation collected $1 votes to determine the top 10 favorite bras for the live auction which, as usual, did not disappoint. The remaining bras were featured in a silent auction.
The top ten bras included:
- Fighting for the Cure, created by Larry L. Bryson, Architect, P.C., raising more than $3,000 in votes.
- Black, White & Read All Over, created by The Brunswick News Publishing Co., raising nearly $1,000 in votes.
- Cancer likes to Masquerade, created by Eta Gamma Zeta, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
- Let’s Smash Breast Cancer One Love Game at a Time, created by Golden Isles Tennis Association, Beth Fennell.
- “I wear my scars with pride. They are a reminder of times when life tried to break me, but failed.”-Jack Skelton, Nightmare Before Christmas, created by CenterWell Home Health
- Don’t Make a Grave Mistake – Get Your Mammogram, created by Mary Parrott, Southeast Georgia Health System Human Resources.
- Teeing Up for a Cure, created by Southeast Georgia Health System, Marketing & Public Relations.
