LiveOak Fiber (LiveOak), a regional broadband service provider founded in 2022, has made significant progress in deploying fiber across Glynn, Camden, and Chatham Counties. As part of its commitment to these communities, LiveOak has invested just over $100M in Georgia to date, and built more than 1,000 miles of fiber, supporting businesses and residents in growing communities. Upon completion, the 100% buried fiber network will serve approximately 150,000 passings across coastal Georgia. In addition to the network investments, LiveOak has also created 100+ new jobs for residents in the areas it serves.

“We’re excited about the new jobs LiveOak continues to bring to our community here in Glynn County, as well as the transformative economic impact of broadband connectivity for both our residents and businesses alike,” said Ryan Moore, President and CEO of the Golden Isles Development Authority (GIDA).

In addition to the planned build areas, LiveOak is proud to announce the expansion of its services to residents and businesses on Tybee Island and in the Bacon Park neighborhood of Savannah, Georgia. With a fiber network spanning multiple communities in Georgia and Florida, this latest expansion confirms LiveOak’s ongoing commitment to delivering fast, reliable broadband to underserved areas in the Southeast US.

“Due to our coastal proximity, businesses and residents on Tybee Island have been underserved when it comes to reliable internet, so we are thrilled to see this changing. By building a new, buried fiber network, we're not just empowering residents; we're enabling our local economy and businesses for sustained growth,” said Mayor Brian West of Tybee Island.

“The reason why each of us come to work each day is to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve," affirmed Jody Craft, CEO at LiveOak Fiber. ”This is why we're fully dedicated to the ongoing deployment of our fiber network across planned, existing, and prospective communities, to deliver an unparalleled broadband experience.”
