Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to announce that family nurse practitioner, Jennifer Patterson, ANP-C, has joined Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Primary Care, located at 3222 Shrine Road in Brunswick.
Patterson earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, New York, and then earned a Master of Science in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) from Daemen College in Amherst, New York.
Patterson recently relocated to the area from her hometown of Medina, New York. From a young age, Patterson has always known that she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, and she believes that her career choice is her natural born “calling”.
In her new role, Patterson will be accepting patients ages 18 years and older, treating a variety of acute and chronic diseases, illnesses, injuries and well care visits. She has experience in a variety of health care settings dealing with a myriad of neurological issues, such as primary and secondary headaches and concussions. She focuses on a compassionate and holistic approach to health care, and educating her patients is one of her primary goals. Patterson’s care approach focuses on allowing her patients to have control of their own health and well-being through participating in shared decision making.
When she is not busy treating patients, Patterson enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She also has a newfound love for the coastal region, so you may find her exploring one of the Golden Isles’ beaches. On Sundays she can also be found cheering on her favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills.
Patterson joins a team of seven providers, and she is currently accepting new patients. Appointments are available Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 912-466-5480 or make an appointment online at sghs.org/schedule.
