The year-long fundraising successes of the Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick and Camden Campus Volunteer Services were celebrated during their recent holiday luncheons when they presented donations to Health System leadership.

“The Brunswick Campus Volunteers are thrilled to make a $110,000 donation to the Health System ,” said Peggy Tuten, president, Brunswick Campus Volunteer Services. “There is no greater cause than to give our time and efforts to ensure the success of our various fundraisers.”

Kathleen Worthing, president, Camden Campus Volunteer Services agreed stating, “Volunteering provides a special and rewarding experience, and every day we volunteer, we know our role directly impacts patients and their care. We are honored to present this year’s donation of $35,000 to the Health System.”

Scott Raynes, MBA, MA, president & CEO, Southeast Georgia Health System expressed his appreciation, saying, “We are extremely grateful for these donations as well as the time and energy our volunteers devote to the Health System.”

The Volunteer Services donations were from proceeds raised through the Gift Shop and fundraising events held December 2023 through November 2024. The donations stay in the respective communities and are specifically earmarked for items that directly impact patient care. Previous years’ purchases have included rehabilitation equipment, waiting room furniture, recliner treatment chairs, simulation manikins for staff training, telemetry equipment, an echocardiographic machine, DEXA scanning equipment and a new trauma room in the Camden Campus Emergency Care Center.
