In an inspiring show of community support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Rachel Estok, stylist at The Hair Cottage, 106 Shoppers Way, Brunswick, organized a festive Trunk or Treat event on October 31, 2025. Partnering with fellow Shoppers Way merchants, Estok collected donated products and services and hosted a raffle, selling tickets for just $1 each.
The event brought the community together for a fun, family-friendly celebration while supporting an important cause. Estok generously donated 100% of the proceeds, totaling $323, to the Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation in support of the Southeast Georgia Health System Breast Care Center, which provides vital breast health services, including free and low-cost mammograms for those in need.
“We are incredibly grateful for Rachel’s creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to supporting local breast health services,” said Bryan Thompson, interim director of Development for the Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation. “Every contribution, large or small, makes a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and families in our region.”
Southeast Georgia Health System extends heartfelt thanks to Rachel Estok, The Hair Cottage, participating Shoppers Way merchants, and all community members who supported the fundraiser. To learn more about the Foundation, visit sghs.org/foundation or call 912-466-3360.
