PrimeSouth Bank recently contributed $200,000 to Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus through the Georgia HEART (Helping Enhance Access to Rural Treatment) Hospital Program. This thoughtful contribution reinforces the bank’s long-standing commitment to strengthening local communities and supporting access to quality health care across Southeast Georgia.
The Georgia HEART Hospital Program allows Georgia businesses and individuals to redirect a portion of their state tax liability to support eligible rural hospitals. This remarkable program provides critical funding that helps sustain essential medical services close to home.
“At PrimeSouth Bank, supporting our communities has always been at the heart of who we are,” says Curtis Tumlin, Glynn County Market President for PrimeSouth Bank. “Georgia HEART allows us to invest directly in local hospitals that care for our neighbors, friends and families. As we celebrate 135 years of serving communities across Georgia, continuing to support initiatives like Georgia HEART feels like a natural extension of our long-standing commitment to relationship-focused banking.”
Southeast Georgia Health System plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to residents throughout the region, including Camden County and surrounding communities. Contributions made through Georgia HEART have already helped fund several important initiatives, including the Wound Care Center, ROSA Knee robotic surgical technology, 3D mammography and enhanced cardiology services to meet the region’s growing needs.
“We are incredibly grateful to PrimeSouth Bank for their generous support of our Camden Campus through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program,” says Christy D. Jordan, president & CEO of Southeast Georgia Health System. “This investment helps ensure we can continue providing exceptional, compassionate care in our service areas. Partnerships like this strengthen our ability to serve our patients today and well into the future.”
PrimeSouth Bank leaders emphasized the importance of business investment in local health care systems as a cornerstone of regional growth and stability. “Local health care systems are essential to strong, thriving communities,” Tumlin adds. “When businesses invest in local hospitals, they’re investing in the people who live and work there every day. It strengthens the region as a whole and helps ensure access to quality care for generations to come.”
Tumlin also encourages other business leaders to consider participating in the Georgia HEART Hospital Program. “Georgia HEART is a powerful way for businesses to make a direct and lasting impact in their communities,” he says. “It’s an opportunity to support local health care while strengthening the communities you serve. We encourage other business owners to take part and help support the hospitals that care for our communities every day.”
Participating in the program is simple, takes only a few minutes, and grants participants a 100% tax credit. To apply or learn more, visit sghs.org/ga-heart or georgiaheart.org.
