Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, February 11th, 2026

In honor of Black History Month, Southeast Georgia Health System invites the community to two evenings of music, movement and spoken word designed to celebrate Black history, heritage and culture. These free, family-friendly events are open to the public and highlight the power of the arts to educate, inspire and bring people together.

Each program will feature live performances showcasing soul-stirring songs, expressive dance and heartfelt poetry that honor the stories, contributions and lasting impact of Black Americans. Through creative expression, attendees will experience moments of joy, reflection and connection while recognizing the importance of diversity, inclusion and community.

The first performance will take place on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Linda S. Pinson Conference Center on the Brunswick Campus, 2415 Parkwood Drive. A second performance will follow on Friday, Feb. 27, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Health System’s Camden Campus Conference Center, 2000 Dan Proctor Drive in St. Marys. Guests are welcome to attend the performance that best fits their schedule.

Admission is free; however, RSVPs are requested to ensure adequate seating. To reserve a seat, please call 855-ASK-SGHS (855-275-7447).

Southeast Georgia Health System hosts these celebrations as part of its ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for team members, patients and the communities it serves.
